Tripp Morris received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Instrumental Music Education for the University of Southern Mississippi in 1983. In 1984 he earned his Masters of Science Degree in Music Education from Texas A&M University. He received his Education Leadership Certification in 2007 from the University of South Alabama.

Mr. Morris became the band director at Baker High School in 1994. He served there for 10 years. He was instrumental in building the band program boasting over 270 students. Baker Band earned numerous superior ratings in both marching and symphonic band during his tenure. In November 2004, Baker band was invited, and performed, in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. They were chosen as the lead band in the parade which is the top honor.

In 2005, Mr. Morris founded and directed the new Spanish Fort High School Toro Marching and Symphonic Band. The band program increased from 25 students to 110 in 8 years. The band has earned numerous superior ratings in both marching and symphonic bands. The Spanish Fort Band has performed in Washington D.C., Walt Disney World, and the National Music For All Bands of America in Jacksonville, Alabama and the Super Regional Band of America in Atlanta, Georgia in the Georgia Dome.

Mr. Morris became the Adult Choir Director of the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church in 2005. Overall he has obtained 15 years experience as a minister of music for the United Methodist Church.

He continues to be a guest adjudicator, consultant and guest performer for local band and art functions. Overall he has an accumulation of 29 years of musical experience.
